History

American Forge South is the latest side project of the Andrew T. Crawford Ironworks in Atlanta, GA. First conceived in 2010, the company made its debut in 2011 with the hand forged bottle opener, which was featured in the Garden and Gun Holiday Gift Guide. After enjoying overwhelming success, Crawford returned to the drawing board to continue designing the products that would become "American Forge South".

The product line is a departure from the Ironworks' usual arsenal of high end gates, custom furniture, and one of a kind sculpture. The goal of American Forge South is to create objects out of real materials for honest, quality-driven shoppers who enjoy the good life.

All products in our new line are forged in our Atlanta shop. Everything is solid steel. Nothing is painted and nothing can break. "We are making heirlooms that will serve our customers for generations," says owner and product designer Andrew Crawford. "The only way for these things to wear out is for you to lose them" he adds.

We are adding new products and would love to hear from you. What do you think would make a great handcrafted retail product? Let us know and check back with us often.
